Rachel trained and worked in Guildford in the UK before moving to London to embark on a Renal and Urological nursing course. She worked at the St. Peter’s Group of Hospitals in Covent Garden and after a short stint as ward sister took up the post of clinical nurse specialist for continent urinary diversion patients. She then moved into education and is lecturer practitioner in urological care, a joint position at University College London Hospitals and London South Bank University. She is course director for the post -registration and master’s degree in Urological Care. She retains a clinical role as part of the nursing team running the intravesical and immunotherapy clinics for bladder cancer treatment at UCLH.
Rachel is the editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Urological Nursing, a peer reviewed journal published by Wiley Blackwell.
