CONFERENCE PRESIDENT
Professor Tony Costello AM
Executive Director Australian Prostate Centre, Director of Urology, Royal Melbourne Hospital, CEO at Australian Medical Robotics Academy (AMRA) 
Tony is one of the leading prostate specialists internationally is Professorial Fellow Department of Surgery, University of Melbourne and Head Department of Urology 1999-2020 at The Royal Melbourne Hospital. Tony pioneered robotic surgery in Australia, has been an invited faculty member of the American Urological Association where he has taught aspects of robotic surgery to an international audience. He is a Life Member Irish Urological Society and an Honorary Fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. The Australian Government awarded him the Medal of the Order of Australia AM in 2015 for outstanding service to Medical Research and Education.
In 2017 Tony was awarded the prestigious St. Paul’s Medal by the British Association of Urological Surgeons. He has 250 published peer reviewed papers and authored 17 book chapters. He serves on the Editorial the British Journal of Urology and the Journal of Endourology.


CLINICAL UROLOGY CONVENOR
Associate Professor Daniel Moon
Urologist, Australian Urology Associates, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre 
Daniel Moon is a Urologist with subspecialty expertise in prostate cancer diagnosis and management. He served as the inaugural Director of Robotic Surgery at Epworth Healthcare 2012-2017 and is an Honorary Clinical Associate Professor at The University of Melbourne. He has performed over 1000 robotic procedures, published the first Australian series of laparoscopic radical prostatectomy in 2008, performed the first Australian robotic cysto-prostatectomy in 2009, published the largest Australian pyeloplasty series in 2011, and established a robotic partial nephrectomy program at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, publishing the first Australian series of this procedure in 2014. 
A/Prof Moon has developed comprehensive training and credentialing documents for surgeons learning robotic surgery, is on the board of the Australian Medical Robotic Academy, and is on the Editorial Board of the British Journal of Urology International.


CLINICAL UROLOGY CONVENOR & PROGRAM SECRETARY
Dr Phil Dundee
Royal Melbourne Hospital, Western Health, Peninsula Health, Australian Prostate Centre 
Phil is a urologist with sub-speciality expertise in urologic oncology. Phil undertook a laparoscopic prostate cancer fellowship in the UK followed by training in robotic surgery at Guy’s and St Thomas’ in London. Since returning to Melbourne at the end of 2012, Phil has established a high volume practice in robotic and laparoscopic urologic oncology and has performed over 750 robotic and laparoscopic surgeries. Phil has spoken at national and international conferences on robotic surgery and won the Peter J Dohrmann medal from the Epworth Hospital in 2018 for his research in robotic surgery.


NURSING & ALLIED HEALTH CONVENOR
Mr Dave Gray
Urology Nurse Practitioner, Urology Consultants Victoria at Epworth Freemasons
Dave is a Urology Nurse Practitioner at Urology Consultants Victoria at Epworth Freemasons. Special urological interests include men’s health and urological malignancies, particularly prostate cancer. Dave is passionate about education and professional development within the urological nursing field. Dave has a Masters of Nursing (Urology and Continence) and completed his Masters of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) in 2016. Dave was previously an addicted golf tragic, now he enjoys spending his free time with his family and also slow grilling on his Weber.
NURSING & ALLIED HEALTH CONVENOR
Ms Rachel Heerey
Physiotherapist, Australian Prostate Centre, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Women’s and Men’s Health Physiotherapy
Rachel is an APA titled Women’s, Men’s and Pelvic Health Physiotherapist. She runs the physiotherapy service at the Australian Prostate Centre, holds an honorary appointment at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, and also consults at Women’s and Men’s Health Physiotherapy. Rachel has completed a post-graduate certificate in Continence and Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation, and a Masters degree in this area at the University of Melbourne.  Rachel is passionate about Men’s Health, and lectures on this topic at the University of Melbourne.

NURSING & ALLIED HEALTH CONVENOR
Ms Evie Mertens
Urology Nurse, Royal Melbourne Hospital, Australian Prostate Centre
Evie is a Urology Nurse Practitioner working in public and private practice. Prostate cancer has been her main focus of post graduate study, completing a Nurse Practitioner Masters and more recently a prostate cancer intimacy counselling course.  She is passionate about supportive care for patients and partners and facilitates several nurse led clinics including sexual function and a prostate cancer surveillance clinic.

TRANSLATIONAL SCIENCE CONVENOR
Associate Professor Niall Corcoran 
Director of Translational Research, University of Melbourne and Royal Melbourne Hospital
Dr Corcoran completed his studies (MB BCh BAO) at the University College of Dublin in 1998 and was awarded a PhD from the University of Melbourne in 2006. He is a urological surgeon and research scientist with an interest in the molecular drivers of lethal prostate cancer and novel treatments. 
In 2018, Associate Professor Corcoran was appointed VCCC Research & Education Lead – Genito-urinary cancer. In this role he is working to map opportunities across the alliance to develop expert networks, deliver strategic educational programming, improve sharing of data for research, and implement multi-partner clinical trials to speed up the translation of new research into routine clinical practice.

TRANSLATIONAL SCIENCE CONVENOR
Professor Chris Hovens
Principal Research Fellow at Melbourne University, Royal Melbourne Hospital
Prof Hovens is a senior scientific investigator on a number of sponsored prostate cancer clinical research programs within the Department of Urology at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and the Department of Surgery at the University of Melbourne. He has served as Chief Scientific Officer and main scientific advisor for two start up, drug development companies he has co-founded, Velacor Therapeutics Pty Ltd and CCH Pharma Pty Ltd. Prof Hovens was awarded a PhD in 1992 for cloning and analysis of the Ryk Receptor Tyrosine Kinase performed at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research under the supervision of Drs Andrew Wilks and Ashley Dunn. In 1992, Prof Hovens took up a post doctoral position at the Institute for Molecular Biology in Zurich. In 2001, Prof Hovens was promoted to Director of the Prostate Cancer Research Center in the Departments of Urology and Surgery, University of Melbourne. 
Prof Hovens is the Chief Investigator of the PRECEPT – Prostate Cancer Prognosis and  Treatment study, a three year (2019 – 2021) MRFF grant that will look at prostate cancer prognosis and treatment, including ground-breaking new tests to identify which patients are most at risk of progressing to more advanced disease and which patients will likely respond best to different treatments.
